Volunteer with Mobile Loaves of Arizona and help to change a life.

Check out the many ways you can volunteer.

Team #1 -    Inventory Management/Food Procurement Team.

  • Create shopping list.

  • Maintain inventory tracking sheet to know at all times what is in stock and what needs to be acquired.

  • Inventory Captain to notify Buying Team of items needing purchasing before next run.

  • Identify vendors/sources of items can be acquired free of charge or at discount.

Team # 2 -   Food Preparation Team.

  • When to prepare: ideally, sandwiches should be made fresh daily. The day before is acceptable.

  • Storage of items:  depending on availability of the kitchen. May need some refrigeration.

  • Number of volunteers – 4 to 6.

  • Kitchen Setup, Assembly line and cleanup.

  • Sandwiches need labels on the baggies.  Identify the ingredients and warn against food allergies.

  • Identify team who will be responsible for Buying / Sourcing.

Team # 3  -  Food Truck Operations/Make Ready Team.

  • Operations -Mondays in Mesa; Thursdays in Tempe. 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

  • Truck will be kept at the designated area. 

  • Truck Maintenance – fueled up and ready to go.

  • Establish a Make Ready team of checklist items to be followed to set out for that evening’s run.

  • Stock the truck with ice to keep food items chilled.

  • Truck needs to be unloaded at end of run and wiped down with disinfectant
